A bit about the VW history

VW a huge favourite for all

VW, as if you havn’t heard of this car company. An absolutely fantastic vehicle manufacturer. This company has many cars both ingenious and historic. For example the VW Beetle. This was the first car to roll off of their production line. This model is still available nowadays, of course it is a more modern shape.

VW was started in the year 1936. Interestingly what made this manufacturer come around had something to do with a certain Hitler with his Nazi regime. Automobile s in Germany were luxurious and what comes with luxury is a high price tag. This meant they were only bought by them who could afford it. What Hitler therefore requested was a vehicle to be built that consisted of a very simple low cost design and had the ability to carry 2 grown ups and 2 children in some kind of safety and comfort. This car is certainly a classic VW and is very sort after with so many organizations and sites attributing to the Beetle. Even though this kind of iconic automobile gained VW much success in 1973 the company was running into problems, the type 3 and type 4 vehicles they had launched were bought in much smaller units than the Beetle which also had massive declines in purchaser. Luckily VW owned Audi, who of course produced water cooled engines and assisted in paving the route for the huge success that was to come for vw.

Open arms awaited the launch of the Passatt in late 1973, virtually a fast back version of the Audi 80. This was closely followed by the Scirrocco in 74. This car was based on the soon to come Golf. The Golf was the soul of VW. This vehicle was to be one of the greatest cars ever. It had beautiful Italian design for the eyes and of course utterly superb reliability and build quality from the Germans. This vehicle has been in existence for 38 years and is still a favourite amongst the motorists and enthusiasts. The late 1990’s is when VW bought 3 super car manufactures, these were Bentley, Bugatti and Lamborghini. It was massive for them and they wasted no time. Audi soon launched a smaller Lamborghini range such as the Gallardo. Bentley gained success with the Continental range, this had record sales for Bentley at 10000. As for Bugatti, well it’s all about the super Veyron with its record smashing top speed of 254 miles per hour.

When you take a look at Volks Wagen’s history, it truly is a colourful one with plenty of adorable automobiles models and makes zipping around. </p>A car manufacturer with all this in its portfolio really does point out to us that they’re a wise choice to purchase from. Yes they are not for those on a budget but even used cars that don the VW badge are known to be one of the best buys.
